CHAPTER 1:  Introducing Express

PURPOSE:  Getting Started provides an overview of Express with examples.  This document is primarily designed for new users of this ACCENT R tool.  However, the summary material can still be a useful reference after some experience has been gained.  This documentation is supplemented by the on-line Help information where Express capabilities are fully documented.

PREVIEWING EXPRESS

Express uses menus and windows for creating, updating, and reviewing data.  You are able to use ACCENT R interactively with this tool.  Express leads you through each step, requesting each item of information that is needed, presenting you with available choices, and displaying help upon request (by typing a question).  All options are chosen from menus and data is entered on fill-in-the-blanks screen forms.  With express, you can review existing databases or create new ones unique to your needs.  Help information is available throughout express so you can learn how to use the various functions quickly.
