15. Use a code segment  (Optional)

Reporter can use existing Code Segments (CS) to define a report field.  On the Add menu, move the cursor to Code Segment and press the Return key.  The Add Code Segment window shown in Figure 14 will appear.

The maximum number of CS fields that can be specified is 40.  The CS must have a Segment and a Routine with the same name as the CS.  The CS field name specified for the report cannot be defined in the CS because Reporter will make the definition when it generates the Process Module (PM) (in the SAVE process).  No other declared field can exist in the CS.

In the example, no code segment is used.
